On those occasions when whoever is at the door is not as Georgie puts it (a doggy person) a barking dog could be a disturbing experience for them, and your first priority is to calm your pet as soon as possible.
Since you will be teaching your dog to bark on cue when teaching it some of the tricks, it is important that it also stops barking on cue, so once again you will learn how to achieve this ,and from now on, you will only ever hear it bark when it is instructed by you.
