Retrieve Toys By Name
"That's Ashley just received a lovely bunch of flowers, do you ever think about sending me something like that?"
"Of course, I do"
"When?"
"I just did"
"When?"
"A moment ago"
"Well, where are they?"
"Where's what?"
"The flowers"
"I didn't say I Sent you flowers, I just said I thought about it"
"Is that a present?" This is what I say to Molly each time she has something in her mouth. This is one of those things, that have given me most fun over the years, and it was the easiest to achieve.
On any occasion prior to giving Molly anything, which could be its meal or a toy, I always ask "Do you want a present" and then wait for her to answer "Yes" by giving the one bark that she has been trained to do, and she is then told "Go get me a present" and she will search around until she returns with whatever is lying around, at which time we will exchange gifts.
This again is just a matter of using your dogs' normal instincts of barking and fetching, but when you have taught it to respond at the right time, you have a very amusing trick. One again you will read how to turn your pets normal instincts into various tricks, which only needs a little imagination on your part.
